A QUICK REVISIT TO LAST MONTH AND MERCURY RETROGRADE
As you noticed, I forgot to mention Mercury Retrograde (November 14) as well as forgetting to upgrade November moon phases (Nov. 14). Please note that Mercury retrogrades in Sagittarius from 20 degrees (onNovember 24) to 3 degrees (on December 14) to pick up So Mercury is resolving or redoing some some communication problem it did not complete earlier. And all this during this Lunar month. Meanwhile, the solar-eclipsed Moon rules the Scorpio mood during that period--yes, this new moon is an eclipse which Mercury retrograde is enhancing. The underworld of the heavenly bodies, out of which Mercury is bringing all manner of evil thoughts which may or may not be truthful operates upon questionable ethics, morals and scare tactics. I mis-worded that little dance the other day, true to Mercury's confusing influence in my chart. You may read all kinds of warnings in the news of bad people and wicked things worse than Halloween. Don't believe all of it. Check it out. Mercury Rx is not careful with its research but sees that you get reprimanded for not having been careful with yours in recent times.
Again, Mercury Retrograde is definitely mentionable in the Moon's article since I forgot to mention it, particularly with Mercury being the Lord of all things forgotten, and thus updating the current month. Most people find it is a 3-week period full of definitely annoying minor problems, like coming out to your car one morning and finding the whole front passenger floor flooded. It happened to me on the first day of a retrograde Mercury some years ago. This year, my car's passenger door lock broke, leaving me locked out and not at home. When any planet retrogrades on the day of a new moon, its power is felt throughout the lunar month. The silver lining is the opportunity to redo something you would have regretted later, especially with Moon in Scorpio.
Here are the Mercury Rx pitfalls: 1.) Leave no stone unturned; be willing to compromise; and avoid offending anyone, even the neighbor's dog. If you are a person who never leaves anything undone and never fails to communicate fully to others, Mercury Rx might never bite you. Most humans have not figured this out. Your first-class Virgo, however, has less problem. Even they, in fact will surely find some area of their life blocked or held up related to mechanical or communication issues from this November 24 to December 14 when it goes Direct. Mercury starting its backward movement in the sky during a new moon is incredibly powerful. The two color each other's artistry for the whole month. Scorpio's secrecy, passion, power-grabbing, and fascination color the Moon's powerful attachments, with Moon's Black Madonna image, and irresistible power with Mercury's treacherous communications, manipulations, and unreliable attempts to speak for the gods create mistrust and mistakes. Scorpio is the divine healer, a pillar of upright honesty, steadfast loyalty with an alter ego born in the underworld--a paragon of opposites, the angelic combined with the demomic. Mercury and the Moon, both ready to lead us down the garden path are clever in uncovering both sides of each of us. At the same time they offer opportunities to be the healer, to be the hero, to destroy evil, to be gentle, kind, or a model for those who have lost their way.
Here are the greatest opportunities of the year to tease the divine out of each rock and hard place we meet. If you can resist the impulse to heal or repair with power instead of spirit you can reach heights you didn't expect. This is a book that has yet to be written--by each one of us.
On December 10 is the Full Moon, which is also a powerful eclipse, when the energies reach their peak and questions can be answered. It is a Lunar Eclipse, that brings us to a peak of intense emotion and possibly dangerous actions
It is also said that in Scorpio Taurus dreams are fulfilled. If that happens for you, you are blessed. But do not announce that you were cursed if that is what you believe unless you know that your peak of this month was not indeed a blessing. Maybe that sore throat that prevented you from making the speech that was supposed to claim the first page of the local newspaper next day, saved you from some unknown social blunder you could not prevent any other way.
When Mercury goes direct you will see things ease up, having learned your cosmic lesson. Usually you don't actually pick up where you left off until you get
back to what you were doing when Mercury started retrograding, on the November 24 Scorpio new moon. It gets
back to that point, going forward, from December 14. Being in Sagittarius at that point, it is more adaptable than in Scorpio, so you will feel the energies easing up easily or quickly--or maybe you just got sick of Scorpio's tight claws. If you felt like it was grabbing you with sharp teeth
remember that words can be sharper than usual and this loose-lipped Sagittarius Mercury will be prone to saying things you will regret. You may also have a few scars from
something someone said to you in the last month. I do. And, hey, there is a
purpose in all this--you may have gone too far in your communications and need to
back off or do more research, etc. and need to learn something. My car door lock gave out with extremely annoying consequences, such as begging for rides from people who probably were as discombobulated as I was. The blessing in that was I found out I had more friends than I realized. and yes there is always the silver lining, I guarantee it.
How to
deal with Mercury Rretros.
Overall, here are
three surefire keys to ending up wiser and happier on New Years Day. Do
the following:
(1) Carry a box of Mercury bandaids around the 24th of November when the "pox," as the medieval people used to call it, hits the hardest and you cause the most damage since you were likely broadsided. My favorite brand of bandaid contains prayers and meditations for peace and harmony.
(2) Remember what you were doing November 14th so
you can make a smooth transition from Rx to Dx.
(3) Meanwhile, make notes on what you learn during
the retro period. - That was the whole point of the exercise. You won't get caught up short next time for the same reason unless you ignored your own role in whatever confusion came about.
In the future, take note that Mercury goes retrograde 4 times a year, lasting each time for 3 weeks. Bear in mind such things as that if you let your bank account fall into confusion it could take you 3 months to straighten it out and possibly some money. It is wonderful how the cosmos manages to teach us lessons we struggle to avoid, isn't it?

My chart contains nary a drop of Virgo which is intercepted in my chart. Don't ask me what that means. I might tell you and you don't want to know.

NEW MOON IN SAGITTARIUS
This one is sooo much easier if you let it be. It is in a more relaxed sign, that only wants to be allowed the freedom to do as it wants. There may be many people who are extra generous this month, even before Christmas which brings an entirely different kind of new moon. Sagittarius loves stories and the Christmas story is more beloved at the end of November than at the end of December when everyone is tired of running around and buying things and all the rest of the Christmas preparation.
